Other Information | The general purpose of Community Councils is to get to know, co-ordinate and express the views of the area they represent to local authorities and other public bodies. The objective was to ensure there could be input from the "grassroots". Arrangements are made by Angus Council for consultation on planning applications. All community councils are sent a weekly list of new planning applications. Community Councils were introduced in 1975 when local government was reformed. |
